Well, its been a few months since my last post so thought I'd start writing again. I remember when the movie "Fire in the sky came out" and how afterwards tens of thousands of people across America reported having been abducted. The movie told the story of a logging crew in the mountains of Arizona and how they witnessed a strange object in the woods and how one of them was taken aboard the alien craft. The movie seemed to have awakened the memories of alot of people and before you dismiss this many of the people were professional and credible.
Which leads me to my own story which began on a cold winters night as me and my family were returning home from a visit with relatives. I was ten years old. The year was 1969 and the Mets had won the world series. It was an exciting time to be a kid living in New York. Just before Christmas we had visited cousins and exchanged gifts and it was on the return trip home that my parents spotted something odd in the sky and pulled the car over.
I was told to get out of the car with my younger brother and sister as our parents excitingly pointed out an object in the sky. None of us really cared and I don't really recall seeing anything, but my dad back then was into investigating strange stuff. After they watched this object for a few more moments we all piled into the car and I thought nothing else of it.
Returning home as it was late we all went to bed. Next thing I know is I am awake standing in snow in the middle of the night on my front lawn. Terrified I hurried up the sloping lawn to reach the door but as I tried to open the door it was locked. Puzzled, I thought the door must have locked automatically from the inside after I walked out. But why would I walk outside in the middle of the night ? What I remember was the snow on my bare feet waking me up but how did I get there ? I had never walked in my sleep but thought maybe I did this night, after all it was the only explanation. I rang the doorbell repeatedly and finally heard the footsteps of someone walking down the creaking stairs. The outside light went on and I heard the inside locks being undone including the chain lock at the top of the door. This was odd because if I had accidentally locked myself outside how in the world could I have locked the chain on the inside at the very top of the door which I could barely reach !
My father opened the door and instead of being surprised that I was standing outside in my pajamas in the middle of the wintry night he simply said come inside and go up to bed. Racing up the stairs I felt scared and confused. I laid in bed trying to figure things out and fell asleep with these thoughts in my mind.
Waking up the next morning and walking downstairs to eat Sunday breakfast I thought OK I'll just ask my parents what happened last night and hod did I get outside. Well incredibly after saying good-morning and asking the big question, I was told I must have been dreaming as nobody had to let me in during the night. Now I was more confused than ever. But I accepted their explanation that it must have been a dream.
I started having recurring nightmares shortly after this time and they happened almost nightly and gradually decreased in occurrence over time. The dream went something like this. I am locked in a room alone. I am laying on a table of some sort and am terrified. The room was brightly lit and I can feel a presence outside of the room that I am in. something is approaching the room and the closer it gets the more terrified I become. But I always wake up before finding out whats coming.
Into my teens the dreams started to decrease in frequency and occasionally I would bring up the subject to my parents of the strange night when I woke up outside in the snow when I was 10 but it was always laughed off as my wild imagination. Into my 20's the dream only came but once in a while and may have been forgotten forever except for a show I saw on television when I was in my late 20's now living in Las Vegas Nevada. It was a show about people claiming to have been abducted. Two of the men they were interviewing had the same unexplained marks on their bodies that I had. In the same spots. Like we had had laser operations on ourselves. But I knew I had had no operations ever so had did the marks appear ? The men on TV were saying they were operated on by aliens after being abducted. Had I been abducted ? I don't know , nor do I know to this day, but the whole experience led me into the whole UFO field and shorly thereafter I joined MUFON and would find myself sitting on top of a mountain overlooking Area 51 in Nevada, the secret base where alien craft were supposedly being housed which would lead to many more adventures in the Nevada dessert...

Very interesting story. I wonder if hypnosis would help recover things.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about hypnosis but never acted on it.
